Who We Are
The Summit County Shooting Range is managed by the Summit Range Association (SRA) under the supervision of the county.
The SRA is a public non-profit organization and operates under C.R.S. Title 24, Article 6 – Colorado’s Sunshine Law. The Summit Range Association is a Registered Charitable Organization with the State of Colorado and is a recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization.
Our Goals
- To help operate and maintain the Summit County Shooting Range to provide a cost-effective, safe, and convenient place for the public’s enjoyment of the shooting sports with a minimal burden on the Summit County Government.
- To pursue funding in support of the daily operation and capital improvement of the range facilities in order to maintain the availability of the range to the public free of charge.
- To promote the safe and ethical use of firearms through education of range users and the general public while fostering good relations among sportspersons and the community at large.
Attend a Board Meeting
You are welcome to attend the monthly board meeting for the Summit Range Association. Notices are placed on the homepage under the news section.
The regular meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM. Unless otherwise noted, the meetings are held in the Ute Room at the Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco. You can sign up to receive email notifications of updated SRA meeting dates and times as well as other range events.
